ezgy app allows users to connect their Google Drive account to sync and play music files stored in their Google Drive. The Google Drive read-only scope is required to list folders, read file metadata, and access audio files (e.g., MP3, FLAC, WAV) that the user chooses to use in the app.

The app uses this access only to identify supported audio files, organize them into a music library, and stream or temporarily download them for playback or optional offline use initiated by the user.

The app does not create, modify, delete, or upload any Google Drive files, and it does not access non-audio content. No Google Drive data is shared with third parties.

Read-only access is the minimum required permission to enable music discovery and playback from the user's existing files. Users explicitly connect their Google Drive account and can revoke access at any time.

  • What we request: Read-only access to your Google Drive files
  • Why we need it: To scan for music files (MP3, FLAC, AAC, OGG, WAV, M4A) and stream them directly to your device
  • What we access: Only music files in your Google Drive. We scan file metadata (title, artist, album) to organize your library
  • What we DON'T access: Your documents, photos, spreadsheets, or any other non-music files. We cannot see, modify, delete, or share any of your files
  • How we use it: Music files are streamed directly from Google Drive to your device. We do not download, store, or cache your music files on our servers
  • Data storage: Any cached metadata (like playlists) is stored locally on your device only and can be cleared anytime
  • Your control: You can revoke Google Drive access at any time through your Google Account settings → Security → Third-party apps with account access
  • Security: All connections are encrypted using HTTPS/TLS protocols. We use Google's secure OAuth 2.0 authentication system
